But Hey, now I am UP! Coffee anyone? Its time to sneek in this blog post at night while everyone is sleeping so no one notices that I posted it so they cant ask me "Hey did you give up on your blog?" (Answer: No! OK, well, if by giving up you mean not writing in it for at least a month...No!). And I can be all like "No, I posted something just two weeks ago, you didnt see it?". Ha.
But seriously, pulled pork is delicious - and cheap. You should make some, but maybe plan a little better than I did.
Pulled Pork
Ingriedents
8 Pound Pork Butt or Whole Pork Shoulder
Salt / Pepper / Any rub that you might want to caress lovingly on a huge hunk of raw pork
BBQ Sauce
Cook
Rub pork lovingly with salt/pepper and spices (this creates depth of flavor - the rubbing, not the spices, duh). I used a combo of salt, pepper, cumin, chili powder, oregano, cayenne pepper, and brown sugar. Cook on low, in a crock pot for 10 -12 hours until it shreds easily. Once it shreds easily, shred the whole thing and pour large quantities of BBQ sauce all over the shredded pork. Enjoy as is or on slider buns or on regular buns or on ritz crackers that have first been smothered with philadelphia cream cheese - oh, I mean....too much? Its also really good on baked potatoes if thats your thing.
OK back to bed with me!
